Types of Bikini

There are many types of bikini out there and you might be confused by what the differences are!

A bandeau bikini top is normally a strapless item worn to cover the breasts. This type is fastened at the front or the back, or is sometimes made from stretchy material that does not need fastening. Occasionally they have a thin halter neck strap but this provides no support.

A wide bandeau is like a boob tube top.

Plunge bikini top helps you show plenty of cleavage. Cup coverage narrows to the centre point of the top.

Halter neck bikini has one strap that goes from the outside of each cup around the neck. It can tie behind the neck either with a bow or a clip, or occasionally it can fasten at the cup. Halter neck can be from the centre of the bikini too. The main feature is that it goes around the neck in one strap rather than two.

Triangle bikini top has the fabric covering the breasts in a triangle shape. Can be halter neck too.

Tie front bikini top fastens at the front in a fabric knot.

Slide triangle bikini allows for some movement of the triangular fabric along the narrow band. Often just a thin strap of material makes the chest band making it good for getting more of a tan.

An Underwired Balcony Bikini gives more support to your bust

Tankini is a bigger style top for a bikini and can often go as far down as the bikini bottoms. It is a more flattering item of swim wear for some figures. It covers more than just the bust.
